ON DECEMBER 1, 2025 THE iASO CULTURAL FOUNDATION LAUNCHED A NEW MUSIC SCHOOL IN CAP-HAÏTIEN, HAITI.

 

The Konpa Akademi is dedicated to music education, the promotion of Konpa heritage and other Haitian traditions, as well as the development of young talent.

Konpa Akademi director, Emmanuel F. Civil, studied at the CEMUCHCA School of Music and has been teaching with Academia de Bachata for three years. Our Konpa programs have 10 teaching faculty and 120 daily students enrolled. Areas of study include drums & percussion, guitar, bass, piano, voice, and music theory.
